Apprenticeship

In 2012 I met my mentor, his name is Robert Trezona . He is a saddle maker originally from Oregon, then moved to the Bitterroot Valley in 1991 and opened a saddle shop, building buckaroo rigs and equipment for the working cowboy.

It was my pleasure to meet Bob when he strolled into my store , which at the time was located on highway 93 in Victor. We got to talking and hit it off ! Bob would pop in periodically and chat. About the forth or fifth time he came in , he mentioned he was a saddle maker ( which made sense to me because he always inspected all the saddles and the craftsmanship on each one). He told me " You can learn something from anyone , always listen to any ideas". And he is right !

Enough for now I need to go build something, more next week !
